Organizers and supporters of the Incarceration to Education Coalition have been occupying the Kimmel Center for Student Life since Friday afternoon to protest the presence of the box — questions pertaining to criminal histories or disciplinary records — on NYU’s Common Application. More than 20 students chose to stay in Kimmel after it closed to the public, despite being told by NYU administration that those trespassing after midnight could face disciplinary action.
